Your wide array of tasks will include playing a key role of a link between finance and the fund administration service groups; refining and complying with high quality reporting requirements characteristic for the strictly regulated fund industry; financial & business controlling, and reporting to the business management. Your Role

As the Controller, your main responsibility will be to coordinate, support and control the processes of ensuring timely, accurate and compliant deliverables of services that Permian provides to the funds and fund managers. Your work will consist of daily client contacts, reporting and development of report templates, analysis, implementation of improvements and new requirements from the authorities, preparation of documents and support in compliance tasks – all of it in close collaboration with your colleagues and the Business Intelligence unit. You will take part in client meetings when discussing reporting, performances, financial solutions and advisory activities.

 

Typical areas of responsibilities are:

  • Stay up to date on the domestic and international standards for financial reporting
  • Taking part in the preparations of proposals to clients
  • Being Key Account Manager for a team of selected clients
  • Developing solutions to clients’ challenges within accounting, software applications, interim and statutory financial- and tax reporting
  • Training and managing experienced colleagues
  • Cooperating with colleagues and clients across borders
  • Exploiting the opportunities for efficiency improvements through deployment and use of IT
  • Forming your role and involvement in cooperation with the Permian management team

 

About You

You are an ambitious profile, who enjoys working in a dynamic and changing environment. You have a solid and relevant experience e.g. from having been a CFO or senior controller in Private Equity or Venture Capital businesses. You may alternatively have background from auditing or accounting firms.

You should be accustomed to communicate in English, both in writing and orally.

We would like you to have a good general understanding of the opportunities, use and operating of the IT solutions, which are applicable to the controlling function. You should be an experienced user of common office tools. Permian uses modern tools for accounting, reporting, management, collaborating and sharing.

You should be experienced and being used to requesting deliveries, delegating, supporting and following up colleagues’ developments, and you shall be used to making decisions to the best of Permian and our clients.

Preferably, you should have a good insight into the reporting requirements for the fund industry, i.e. accounting, tax, VAT and statutory reporting. You should be able to carry out tasks ranging from the compilation of data, via analysis, to reporting and improvement suggestions for corrective actions. You should be a strong communicator with excellent coordination skills, and be passionate about active and proactive controlling, which you find triggering. Your mind should be open for learning and personal development.

When starting at Permian
